The N1 neo: A New Era of Helmet Innovation
For the upcoming, and long-awaited, launch of the innovative N1 bicycle helmet by Newton-Rider, we are excited to announce a subtle yet significant change to its name. The helmet will now be called N1neo!
So why "neo," you may ask?
The N1 helmets identity is defined by four key characteristics: Flex-fit, Linear Protection, Multi-impact Capability, and Foldability. These features are made possible through innovative design principles and modern materials, resulting in a helmet that is sleek, comfortable, semi-soft, and foldable—perfectly suited for modern urban commuters. We realised that this uniqueness, which stems from both its design concept and scientific foundation, needed to be reflected in the name itself. Thus, the distinctive "neo" was added to the name.
The N1neo name helps us communicate a range of important aspects:
Modern Innovation
In Design:
"NEO" suggests that the helmet has been crafted with contemporary aesthetics and the latest design trends in mind. It implies sleek lines, modern shapes, and a forward-thinking approach to helmet design.
In Science:
It indicates the use of cutting-edge scientific principles and technologies. This includes advanced materials and innovative construction techniques that surpass traditional helmet designs.
Technological Advancement
In Design:
The term "NEO" evokes a sense of futuristic style, indicating that the helmet looks like it belongs in the future or is ahead of its time. This aligns with our tagline: "There is nothing like the future." It appeals to consumers who are interested in owning products that set new standards in design.
In Science:
It communicates that the helmet benefits from the latest research and development, including breakthroughs in impact absorption and comfort enhancements made possible by new scientific discoveries.
Revolutionary Approach
In Design: "NEO" signifies a revolutionary departure from traditional helmet designs. It suggests that the N1neo is not just an incremental improvement but a rethinking of what a helmet can be—namely, a fashion statement and accessory.
In Science:
It implies that the helmet incorporates non-traditional materials or methods, such as non-Newtonian materials, creating a thinner, less voluminous helmet compared to standard EPS foam.
Enhanced User Experience
In Design:
The name "NEO" communicates a user-centric design approach, where the helmet is not only safe but also more comfortable and stylish. It suggests ergonomic improvements and features that enhance the overall wearing experience.
In Science:
It indicates that the helmet leverages scientific advancements to provide practical benefits to the user and integrates modern technologies.
In summary, "NEO" conveys a strong message of modernity, innovation, and advanced technology. It positions the helmet precisely as what it is—a new and innovative product that incorporates the latest in both design and scientific research, making it attractive to consumers looking for something that stands out from traditional helmets in both form and function.

In the United States, the trend in automobile development seems to lean towards larger, heavier vehicles, exemplified by the EV Tesla Cybertruck, infamous for its senseless and unappealing design. In contrast, Europe is adopting a more thoughtful and sustainable approach to transportation.
The emphasis in Europe is on prioritising green and sustainable modes of transportation. A significant effort is being made to enhance the already advanced bicycle infrastructure, and we see manufacturers regularly introducing sleek e-bikes and innovative cargo bikes. This shift towards eco-friendly alternatives aligns with a broader strategy to reduce environmental impact.
